The following poker hands are listed from highest ranked to lowest ranked:

Royal Flush - A royal flush is a 5 card sequence of the same suit which includes 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. This is the king of kings in poker hands and conquers all. The odds of getting a royal flush are 1 in 649,740. If you get one of these babies, take a picture, because it ain't a likely occurance!

Straight Flush - A straight flush consists of any five card sequence in the same suit. An example of a straight flush would be having all DIAMONDS and your cards reading ace, two, three, four, and five. A straight flush is the second best hand you can make in a game of poker. The odds of getting a straight flush are 1 in 64,974. Note that wild cards cannot be included to make a straight flush. A straight flush is the ultimate natural hand (excludes wild cards). If for some reason two players at the same table had a straight flush, the player that possesses a poker hand ending in the highest card value of the straight would be deemed the winner.

Four of a kind - A four of a kind poker hand consists of four cards that have the same value. Example: King, King, King, and King, in your hand. A four of a kind poker hand is the 3rd strongest hand you can get in poker. It will beat all hands except a royal flush and a straight flush. The odds of getting four of a kind are 1 in 3,914

Full house - A full house poker hand consists of a three of a kind plus a pair. An example of a full house poker hand would be: Ace, Ace, Ace, two, two. Basically any three of a kind and a pair make a full house. If two players at the same poker table have a full house, the tie is broken by the poker hand that has the best three of a kind. The odds of getting a full house are 1 in 586.1

Flush - A flush poker hand consists of all five cards being of the same suited cards. Example of a flush poker hand: Ace of clubs, 2 of clubs, 4 of clubs, 8 of clubs, king of clubs. As you can see, their all clubs and they don't need to be in any particular order. Note!!!! A flush is a hand of five cards all of the same suit, NOT THE SAME COLOR! If by chance 2 people at the same poker table have a flush, the player with the high card wins. The odds of getting a flush in poker are 1 in 273.1

Straight - A straight is a poker hand that consists of 5 cards in order, but not in suit. Note that a straight does not continue past the ace. Say you have jack, queen, king, ace, 2. This is not a straight! An example of a straight would be: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. It does not wrap around is what we're getting at. If for some reason two players at the table have a straight, the player with the highest ending card would be deemed the winner. The odds of getting a straight are 1 in 131.8.

Three of a Kind - A three of a kind poker hand consists of getting three of the same card. If there are two three of a kinds at a poker table the highest set of three cards wins. The odds of getting a three of a kind are 1 in 34.8.

Two Pair - A poker hand containing two pair would mean that a play has two pairs of the same cards. An example of two pair would be: Ace, Ace, 8, 8. If two players have two paid the winner is determined by the player with the highest pair out of the two pair he holds. The odds of getting two pair in a poker hand are 1 in 13.11.

Pair - A pair consists of two of the same card. This is a very common occurence in a poker hand. Often times other players at the poker table will also have a pair. The winner is determined by who holds the highest pair, in which case a pair of aces would be the best poker hand you can have when referring to a pair. The odds of getting a pair are 1 in 2.

High Card - High card refers to poker hands that don't have any of the above listed poker hands. You basically have nothing when you have high card. The odds of having high card at 1 in 1.
